Dundee’s Low Emission Zone Impact on Office Visits Starting 30 May 2024

The Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in Dundee will officially start enforcing fines from 30 May 2024. Notably, the front of MMG’s Dundee office at 78 – 84 Bell Street, Dundee, Angus, DD1 1RQ, lies within this zone. Consequently, accessing our office car park will require entering the LEZ.

Scotland’s LEZs are designed to reduce pollution by allowing only vehicles that meet specific emission standards or qualify for exemptions. To help you determine if your vehicle is compliant, a vehicle checker is available online. By entering your vehicle registration number, this tool will indicate whether your vehicle can drive within the LEZ based on its emission compliance.

It’s important to note that the vehicle checker does not confirm exemption status for all national or local exemptions. Therefore, you should verify separately whether you or your vehicle meet any of the exemption criteria before traveling.

Additionally, if your Vehicle Registration Number has changed within the last five years, the result from the vehicle checker might not be accurate. In such cases, it’s advisable to confirm the compliance of your vehicle directly with the manufacturer. Please be aware that this service cannot check vehicles registered outside the UK.

For those planning to visit our Dundee office, please check your vehicle’s compliance to avoid potential fines.
