TCCL Tayside has provided support to families across Tayside and North East Fife since its inception in 1994. The charity offers invaluable support to families dealing with the unimaginable stress of having a child diagnosed with Cancer or Leukaemia. Such a diagnosis not only brings about a significant emotional toll but also introduces a range of practical and financial challenges due to the intensive treatment regimens required and the disruption to family life.
How TCCL Tayside Helps
TCCL Tayside is dedicated to supporting families during these challenging times in several key ways:
Grants: The charity provides Diagnosis Grants to help with the immediate financial impact of a cancer or leukaemia diagnosis in a child. Additionally, TCCL Tayside offers Additional Grants for ongoing support, helping families manage the financial strain that can accompany prolonged treatment.
Psychosocial Support: Recognising the emotional and psychological strain that a diagnosis can place on both the child and their family, TCCL Tayside offers psychosocial support. This is aimed at helping families navigate the emotional challenges and ensuring that they do not face them alone.
Holiday Support: TCCL Tayside understands the importance of family time away from the hospital and treatment. The charity provides holiday support, giving families the chance to create precious memories together in a relaxing environment, away from the stress of their usual routine.
